Marcin Kydrynski, N'Deli, Samburu girl

Maralal, Kenia, 2000

Samburu girl, named N’Deli. The cover of polish edition of NG Magazine of March 2001.

[Marcin Kydryński]:  In year 2000 we realized for National Geographic Magazine a project entitled "In the desert and wilderness". With editor in chief of polish edition - Darek Raczko and archeologist - Bogdan Żurawski we traveled through Eastern Africa, walking on the footsteps of the characters from the novel of the same title, written in 1912 by famous polish writer and Nobel prize winner - Henryk Sienkiewicz. The portrait of N'Deli, beautiful Samburu girl, was crucial for the NG - it was the first cover prepared by a local agency in the 100-years history of the magazine.
